Autism Rocks looks to throw rocks at Autism

Autism is a developmental disorder that affects the way a person experiences the world which surrounds them, as well as their communication process with others. It is incurable, and its causes remain unknown. Despite this harsh reality, however, individuals and families can suffer considerable effects if they lack support.

This instance is when Autism Rocks comes in. The brainchild of Sanjay Shah Denmark and his wife Usha, it has the mission of changing the perception society has of autism patients; and the need to make a difference is rooted in a personal commitment. They have an autistic son and wanted to help those who suffer the same condition by providing greater exposure for them, even though there exists ample support for those with special needs. Through Autism Rocks they look to increase research into why people are afflicted with the condition and what can be done about it.

The foundation is in fact a live concert and a charity which came to be in 2014, and by realizing popular concerts, has raised over £600,000. It is very much a family event, held in partnership with 117 Live, a subsidiary of Al Ahli Holding, and also features laser tag, crazy golf, zip line, bouncy castle, horse rides, rodeo bull, face painting, inflatable rides, barbecue and a petting zoo.

For more than a decade, Sanjay Shah has sponsored children in India but, beyond that, he didn’t know what more he could do for charity. When his son was diagnosed, in 2011, he became more focused on how and where to spend his charitable contributions. He is an adequate individual for charity donations; as he has, as of January 2016, a net worth of US$280 million and considers himself retired.

He is the founder and CEO of Solo Group Holdings, as well as the owner of Aesa S.a.r.l., which controls Solo Group Holdings. He also owns more 36 other companies is places such as: London, The British Virgin Islands, Dubai, Luxembourg, Malta and The Cayman Islands. Additionally, he has taken over Old Park Lane Capital, a stockbroker which focuses on natural resources.

He would also like to release an Autism Rocks compilation album with various pop artists donating a track. He explains that it is all about trying to make playing at Autism Rocks attractive to the stars.
